Privacy Policy
This text applies to the Wordistan app only. For the studio's other products and website, the general Privacy Policy applies.
1. Data collected
The game itself asks for nothing. It creates no account, asks for no sign-in, and never requests a name, email address, phone number, location or contact list. Personal data enters only through the adverts: they are served by Google's AdMob, which processes your device's advertising identifier and how an advert performed. None of it reaches us — it goes directly to Google and is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Beyond that it contains no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
2. What stays on the device
Progress is kept in the device’s own storage and is never transmitted:
- Chosen character, interface language and sound preference
- Completed chapters, exam results and per-word mastery
- Coins, stars and purchased avatar accessories
- Daily quest progress and streak count
Deleting the app removes all of it.
3. Internet access
Gameplay needs no internet connection: chapters, audio and progress all run on the device. A connection is needed only to fetch an advert; without one no advert is shown and play continues uninterrupted. The Android build declares the INTERNET permission.
4. Advertising
The app shows advertising, served by Google’s AdMob. Ads are not personalised; there is no behavioural profiling and no targeting of children.
An advert is shown only once, as a single interstitial before the end-of-chapter exam. There is none at launch, at the start of a chapter or mid-play; if an advert fails to load the game continues without waiting.
Ad requests carry the settings required of child-directed apps: they are tagged for child-directed treatment and under the age of consent, the maximum ad content rating is capped at G (general audiences), and only non-personalised ads are requested.
5. In-app purchases
- The “Premium Adventure” pack — a one-off purchase unlocking the chapters after Hagia Sophia. Not a subscription.
- “Remove Ads” — a one-off purchase that permanently turns off the pre-exam advert. Not a subscription.
The transaction is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment details are never entered into the app and are never seen, stored or processed by us. Only a “purchased” flag is kept on the device. A parental gate is shown before the purchase screen, so a child cannot buy on their own. Purchases can be recovered on a new device signed in to the same store account, via “Restore Purchases” in the app.
6. Children’s privacy
The app is directed to children (ages 6-12). The game itself collects nothing; personal data is processed only for the adverts, and ad requests are sent flagged as child-directed and without personalisation. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no social media links and no external links, and there is no interaction with other users. No processing occurs that would require verifiable parental consent under COPPA or GDPR-K.
7. Sharing and your rights
We store, sell and share no personal data — we run no server and keep no database. What the adverts process goes directly to Google, and rights of access, correction and erasure are exercised through Google's own privacy tools. Ad tracking can be turned off in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). If you would rather remove advertising altogether, the corresponding in-app purchase turns it off permanently. On-device progress can be removed by deleting the app.
Terms of Use
1. Licence
Abdulkerim Atik (OYIST) grants you a non-transferable licence to use Wordistan for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, decompile or create derivative works from the app.
2. Fees
The app is free to download. The in-app purchase(s) listed above are optional. Payments and refunds are handled entirely under the rules and refund policy of the relevant app store.
3. Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is given that it will run uninterrupted or error-free. Consumers’ statutory rights are unaffected.
